A Practical Guide to Online Safety:
Every year more and more people become victims of cybercrime, and with the rapid emergence of IoT (internet of things) and A.I. (artificial intelligence), sophisticated scams and frauds are exposing all Americans to new and unique dangers. Yet, the majority of people have no idea how to check to see if their personal online data has been compromised, and if, in fact, their identity has been stolen, they have no idea what to do about it. These FREE workshops at the Hubbard Library focus on empowering participants with essential skills to protect themselves against today’s online scams: (1) How to prevent them (2) How to recognize them (3) What to do about them.
While each workshop can be taken independently, it should be noted that each session builds upon the information, tools, and skills covered in the previous ones.
