In conjunction with our One Book Once Community initiative, our monthly selection is a book written by a local (Kinsman, OH) author. Set in the 1950’s The Long Tomorrow explores one of the possible outcomes of a nuclear battle in a society where technology is considered evil and city development is prohibited. Follow the story of two boys who struggle with growing up in a repressive farming, survivalist community and wanting to explore the possibilities of life and growth beyond their small world of experience and understanding. Is it worth leaving the familiar to discover what is outside the borders of family and fear?
In the meantime, check out the other One Book Once Community activities taking place throughout the month of March.
