hoopla limits

Thank you to the Hubbard Friends of The Library for a donation that will allow us to increase our monthly Hoopla Digital budget!

We have heard your comments about receiving the following notification on your hoopla app: “The collective daily borrow limit set by your library has been reached and will reset at midnight.” This is a resource the Hubbard Public Library offers to Hubbard library card holders only. We do not have an unlimited subscription for this app. Instead, we pay per checkout. Usage of hoopla has increased almost 50% over the past two years. With the donation from Hubbard Friends of the Library, our monthly budget will be increasing as of August 1st. Limits still exist, but we hope the donation will help us to provide this fantastic resource to more patrons. When the daily amount is reached, it will reset at 12:01am the next day.

*Another change: To offer equitable access to all of our patrons throughout the month, a limit of 4 checkouts for each library card holder per month as well as a daily monetary limit for the library has been put in place.

We continue to monitor usage statistics and allocate funds to this resource as they become available. Thank you for your understanding and abundant support!
