Business History
   Established in 1991 by Ronald J. Leckfor, to sale and service C-Band (10 foot) satellite equipment.   Lightwave Technical Services began offering DISH Network 18" DBS equipment in August 1996, coordinating with the launch and start of transmission operations of Echostar.

In November, 1996 Ron converted the rear 2/3 of his 1987 (Former Toledo Police, 360 CI) B350, 1 Ton Dodge Van, into a mobile Demonstration/Site Survey Center/Mobile Office complete with :

80 Watt, Full Stereo Surround Sound,
18" Heavy Duty Camera Tripod mounted 18" Dish
Dual 12 Volt D.C. to 120 Volt A.C., 60 HZ Inverters (150Watts Each)
Sears Deep Cycle 12 V Battery, and 30 Amp Battery Charging System

Once this System was completed, Ron began offering :

Site surveys
In driveway demonstrations
On Site Trouble-shooting of Echostar and Houston Tracker systems
DISH Network Compatible Systems, and DSS systems.

In December of 1997, Ron graduated from Youngstown State University, with a BSAS, Major : Electrical Engineering Technology, Minor : Mathematics.

In March of 1998, Ron became employed with REM Electronic Supply, Value Added Div., Warren, Ohio, with Lightwave Technical Services becoming a part-time operation.
