Hubbard Public Library was established as a school district public library in 1937. It is one of seven independent libraries serving Trumbull County. The Hubbard Library serves a city population of approximately 8,241 and a total school district of approximately 14,825.
Foreword
Written by request, this paper attempts to provide, for the first time, a chronological account of the Hubbard Public Library’s existence from its founding to the present.
My thanks go to the courteous library staff and Friends of the Library officers who answered questions and gave me access to a miscellanies of material in many forms, all of which required careful scrutiny. Also helpful were a number of persons who so willingly delved into their memories to provide pertinent details.
